May 26 Tutorial QueryInstructor Tutorial Answers What can I learn by hearing it once? The reference of hearing it and participating in class. Following along like a mindless monkey doing robot work. Can I ask a question I missed, without feeling like a dunce? No, don't backtrack and follow along with the whole class. Don't fall behind, then they will help you. What do I do if the tutorial goes wrong? Follow along and try to catch up or try to ask to take steps back. Can I restart the tutorial? No, not at anytime throughout the tutorial! What do I get when I end the tutorial? - You will have the file for future references. - You will have the knowledge of doing the tutorial once. - A drained brain from following along like a robot. Will there be any references for me when the tutorial is done? Email address of the instructor and a hope they will answer any queries. How will I know the tutorial was done correctly? No file upload or instructor reference. Not even a follow up look to see if the file was created properly Online Tutorial Answers What can I learn by hearing it once? Only as much as you can remember. If you forget do it again or use the many resources. There can be many multi-media resources including direct links to web applications. Can I ask a question I missed, without feeling like a dunce? Questions can be posed at anytime with references and forums all around to help troubleshoot and find information. What do I do if the tutorial goes wrong? Press rewind, playback and hear or see what I've missed. Can I restart the tutorial? At anytime press rewind playback and fast forward. What do I get when I end the tutorial? - You will have the file for future references. - You will have the knowledge of doing the tutorial any amount of times you want. Will there be any references for me when the tutorial is done? - There will be the reference of the tutorial video, audio, pdf, files. - There are many other people online in networking sites and forums that will help. - There are online support web sites to help troubleshoot. How will I know the tutorial was done correctly? There will be a final result file or example along with the tutorial. There are many resources including video, audio, pdf, files. Also forums and networking sites could e used to evaluate the final product. Online Tutorials are the Right Answer! April 30 School's worthWe all have different ways of learning new things and ingesting information. There are methods to follow in order to ensure that everyone's education is similar and that their retention of the information is relatively the same. As diverse as everybody in this world is, we must give each other respect and compassion. So everyone can feel equal and positive about the world around. Never forcing information upon people is mandatory when proposing new concepts. Never start class with a lecture or something to energetic, find a relaxed medium to begin instruction. ( i.e. discuss world and personal issues, intro of class subject's history, or your history, stories to create a personal bond between everyone involved. ) By using multiple teaching techniques an instructor can instantly optimize the degree of attention they receive and the amount of discussion participants. Create interactive presentations via power point (ppt) or printable document format (pdf) to enable the students an opportunity to follow along with the presentations. Have time in between showing presentation for discussion. Allow any time discussion so nobody forgets an issue or resolves it improperly. When doing an example present time for one on one teachings and do not create impersonal tutorials. Use students in class to instruct others. Allow free time in middle of class for break, questions and example, discovery time. Enjoy your time passing wisdom on to others who can benefit and have spent hard earned time, energy and funds. And who've unknowingly sacrificed un-calculable measures! No one has all the answers, be humble when wrong and right.
